Hungry Mauri

Hungry Mauri

Hungry Mauri is part of the Mauri series; the personification of mauri stones who bring life and vitality. These Mauri are hungry and gobble on the hair of a resting patupaiarehe (similar beings to fairies).

Mauri stones were believed to contain a life force/energy. These were used by Māori for fishing, cultivation and other customs.
